Happy New Year everyone! Can you believe it, it’s 2017!
I hope everyone had a wonderful few days spending time with their loved ones. We had the absolute best trip with my friend Ania and my family in Finland and we’re still in Helsinki. Ania and I are flying home to London later tonight, I wish we could stay a couple more days.
2016 was pretty unforgettable for me; I started my blog in April, explored more of Marrakech with the love of my life, celebrated my mum’s retirement in Croatia, jet skied with my best friends in South of France, explored Budapest with one of my littlest friends (and her gorgeous mum), spend lots of quality time in my happy place – home in Finland, met wonderful new people and made so many memories with family and old friends. I am so ready for 2017 and whatever it has to bring.
We rang the New Year with a couple of good friends, good champagne and lots of good food. We went down the memory lane, planned new adventures and laughed a lot.
Today we are going to snack on yesterday’s yummy leftovers – healthy eating starts tomorrow, right?!
Later tonight we will fly home to London. But before that, I thought I would share with you guys my New Year’s Resolutions – please let me know yours in the comments!
Take a photography class. I love taking photos and would love to learn more.
Swim, swim and swim!
Keep positive – I think I’m quite a positive person, but I think everyone needs reminding to keep a positive mind and put things into perspective.
Remember that its the moments in life that count. I once saw this quote on Instagram “My life isn’t perfect, but it does have perfect moments”. So let’s get out there and make those moments, memories and feelings count.
Treasure the people I love, even more.
Donate time to a charity.
Travel somewhere new. I love seeing the world and I’m always completely inspired by it. Places that are on my list are Mexico, Portugal, India, Iceland and Seville in Spain. Let me know of anywhere amazing you have planned to visit?
Work hard towards our future in Finland. I really want to make the dreams a reality by Spring 2018.
I’m sure there will be loads of little goals coming along the way – but now I really must have some food and cosy up before our flight later tonight.
Happy New Year and lots of love!
