We stayed at the beautiful Hospes Las Casas Del Rey De Baeza while in Seville and had a wonderful time on their gorgeous property, which located just a hop and skip from everything. We love walking and just exploring and Seville is the perfect place for that. You’ll never know what you might find!

We had not been to any stores during our holiday so we decided to fit in a little shopping. Visiting the Mercadillo el Jueves – Thursday street market had been at the top of our list when planning out what we wanted to do while on Seville.

If you been following us around, you’ll know how much we love markets. Our favourites in London are Columbia Road Flower Market, Portobello Road Market and Borough Market, and the last time I wrote about an antique market abroad was in Beijing.

I mean, who doesn’t love a good street market?

Further afield there are several interesting shops, selling furniture, mirrors and books. Keep going and you’ll end up at Metropol Parasol – the massive architectural timber structure designed by Jürgen Mayer in the Plaza de la Encarnacíon. You can climb up the very top of the parasols for panorama views.

If you love diving into the hubbub of market traders, antiques and knick-knacks then you should put Mercadillo el Jueves, Thursday street market on your to-do list in Seville.

I cannot stop loving your photos from Seville! That street market seems to be a nice local experience. I’m usually more up to shoping local fruits and food but it’s always interesting to see what’s sold in general in different countries. 🙂 Thanks for sending us to Seville with your photos once again!

This place is like heaven! I love street markets and especially when there’s vintage items to buy. Those books are so cool the vintage designs on them are so beautiful and authentic.

Me too, and even if I don’t find anything to buy, it’s so interesting to look around. This time, we did find a little vintage art print that we’re going frame at some point.

I think I would love to wake up in a space like that! It looks like something you’d see in a movie! And the street market looks right up my alley! I see things like this and I wonder if I’ll ever see these places with my own eyes in my lifetime.

We loved the hotel, and you’re right, it felt a bit like you were in a Zorro movie or something 🙂 Of course you will see – have you been to Europe before?

Your hotel looks straight out of a dream. I would love to stay there!

Thank you, we fell in love with the traditional andalusian courtyard and all the balconies. So pretty! They also had a pool on the rooftop so that lovely for relaxing (and cooling off) in the afternoons.

Yes, the Metropol Parasol is very interesting, and apparently it’s been built of wood from Finland.
