Painted mini pumpkins with glittered stems

These decorative, painted mini pumpkins are covered in pastel colours and gold glitter to give a more chic decor spin to the popular spooky carvings.

If you’re not a fan of carving pumpkins this fun decorative project might be something more up your alley that is still in keeping with the fall season.

This Autumn craft project begins with few mini pumpkins that are painted up in a variety of shades of your choice. I got only three different acrylic paints; black, white and pink and mixed different shades of grey of them.

The steams of the painted mini pumpkins are then covered with a layer of glue and golden sparkles. Super easy, glittery and fun.

They’re so lovely, aren’t they? If you decide to make these, please take a picture and post it on Instagram and tag me (karoliinakazi) so I can see your pumpkins too. This would be a fun project for the whole family to do.

Craft project enjoyed best with a cup of hot spiced apple cider. You can find a recipe for it here.

What a fantastic idea! Your pumpkins are gorgeous and it is a much better way to decorate them than carving, less clearing up to do afterwards 😊. I especially love the glittered stem.

Now we’re talking! I’ve always thought the carved pumpkins are a little – well, passe. I love these. They’re fun and adult and still in the spirit of Halloween. Thanks for sharing these 🙂

Give it try, its so much easier 🙂 One year I also covered the whole pumpkin with orange glitter and that looked really cool as well. x

Oh my god this is way too cute, I wish they never rot and stay like that! I would do it with pineapples too!

These look so beautiful and cute! Totally prefer them over the carved ones. One (probably stupid) question: is it still possible to eat them afterwards? When carving you can kind of use the inside, but I’m wondering what happens if you leave these in your living room or garden for a while?

I don’t see why not if you open from top and carve out the pumpkin flesh.
