So it’s time to share this amazing Helsinki Airbnb tip – Ihantola and introduce you to our little home in the capital in December. The apartment was so charming, a real treat and we can’t wait to go back.
The apartment is located in this candy coloured Jugend style building, built in 1907, in the heart of Helsinki’s bohemian neighbourhood, Kallio.

The interiors are stylish and functional with original wooden floors, spacious rooms, two bathrooms (one has a shower ), open contemporary kitchen and lots of natural light from the street-facing living room windows. The owner has decorated the space with stunning paintings, neutral colours, beautiful furniture, antique mirrors and lighting that creates a harmonious ambience.

The location is fantastic, close to the Helsinki city centre with many public transportation options; the tram stops are just a few steps from the house and the metro is about 100 metres away. The area, Karhupuisto, has many trendy cafes, fashionable restaurants and just beside the house stands the famous Kallio church and a beautiful library – both interesting spots to explore.
If you’re looking to explore Helsinki and want an idyllic city location with truly beautiful accommodation, I couldn’t recommend staying at Karhupuisto enough.
