We were blessed with sunny skies and some proper end of the summer heat during our visit to Budapest. It was seriously warm and we found a way to beat the heat: Gelarto Rosa. Just around the corner from St. Stephen’s Basilica and our charming Airbnb.
Now, most gelaterias have delicious menu options – order by the scoop, cup or cone, some you may be able to order with toppings. At Gelarto Rosa your scoop of gelato is sculpted to look like a delicate, frosty rose. They are carefully carved, petal by petal, with luscious hand-made Italian gelato made fresh on the premises every morning.
Also, the flavours at Gelarto Rosa are innovative; lemon basil, strawberry elderberry, peach and chocolate chilli to mention a few.
So fresh, pretty and satisfying, and served with a smile.
A wide assortment of macarons and hot chocolate drinks options are also available. All about 1/3 of the price compared to London. And since you cannot stock up, you might as well shock up your taste buds.
