Adventures in Cap d’Ail together with best friends.
They’re the best travel companion I could hope for and it makes me love them more than ever. Easy going, happy and always fun.
After sunrise, some buttery baguette and smelly cheese, we packed our beach bags and headed to Plage Mala – the most beautiful beach on the French Riviera – you can read my previous post about it here.
I had planned a little (and speedy) surprise.
The pathway takes my breath away… every time.
For the morning I had booked a riviera jet-ski safari with an instructor. Our guide Bruno was a fun personality and very professional so we shared lots of laughs and felt very safe with him.
What an experience! The first thing that grabs you is the way the Cap d’Ail water glows.
It sparkles and moves in every shade of blue you could possibly imagine.
We jetted past huge motor yachts, beautiful sailing boats and paddle boarders, all of whom waved and then carried on minding their own business. And that’s exactly what we also did.

After our big adventure on the sea, we had delicious pizza and fresh fruit ice lollies for lunch at Eden Plage, like we always do when in Cap d’Ail.
After lunch we swam up and down, playing with our inflatable doughnut and half drowning with laughter.
It was such a wonderful change of pace. A morning filled with adrenalin, an afternoon filled with nothing but stretching out in the sun.
Thoroughly recharged we headed back home with wet salty hair and brand new sun freckles.
