Barrafina, Covent Garden

Hi everyone! I have made some changes at my workplace, and from this week onwards my schedule will be slightly more relaxed. Now I can really invest time in my interior design studies and spend more time with my favourite thing, my blog.

As usual, we are always looking for any reason to celebrate and this new beginning certainly served as one. Riz and I decided to head out for some proper tapas. And not just any tapas – Barrafina tapas. They are hands down, the best I’ve ever had outside Spain. This tiny restaurant has been named Britain’s best restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards.

We didn’t go the original Barrafina on Frith Street, but the radiant Adelaide Street restaurant.

There are no reservations, so get ready to queue up. Once in, the tapas are life-changing good.

There are 29 burgundy barstools along one sweeping marble counter so its a snug affair. You can watch the chefs at work and enjoy regional dishes from around Spain.

I like the restaurant. Without reservation it might be a nightmare. But the interior and the food looks amazing. 🙂

We waited less than 10 minutes and got seated so wasn’t too bad. And you can have a glass of wine or other drink while waiting 🙂
