Baia Beach Club – Malta

I was very sorry to say goodbye to Riz and our amazing holiday time in Spain, but jumped on the plane and flew over to Malta nonetheless. However, soon enough I was filled with excitement once again.
I was meeting my girl crew from Finland in Malta!

True friends aren’t necessarily people you see every day. They’re the ones who when you see each other, make you feel like not a moment has passed. The ones you can do anything and nothing with and still have the best time. Sure, you have your ups and downs over the years but you always come out of every situation as thick as thieves. Not easy to find but important to keep hold of once you do! And now, we met again, this time in Malta!

Malta isn’t a lushest of islands. It’s dry and rocky. Its rugged coastline is lined with miles and miles of cliffs, rough pools with crystal clear water and strings of sandy shallow bays making it one of the most beautiful beach destinations in the Mediterranean.

But as with anywhere in Europe, the most adored beaches tend to be rather popular in July. Thankfully, the island is big enough for all of us and with a little imagination (and research), you can find your own private treasure. Which is just what we did.

Baia Beach Club is sheer perfection in its simplicity and style. Colours of pretty blue and white and floaty fabrics. A scheme that’s easy to carry on in these surroundings. Set in Little Armier, one of Malta’s prettiest bays with clear turquoise waters and panoramic views of Gozo and Comino Islands.

We found out spots on the sun loungers, dresses off and raced to the turquoise, pool-like pristine waters.

Enjoying its beauty and communion with the waves.

Watching islander children trying to catch, quick on their feet, crabs in the shallow end.
We swam, played and relaxed until lunchtime.

We enjoyed our lunch under the shade and hid from the withering afternoon heat.

Leisurely enjoying the Mediterranean cuisine with relaxing tunes and impeccable service. Go for the Spaghetti alle vongole, it’s to die for.

After lunch, we strolled back to our loungers and had a snooze in the shade of our enormous umbrella. Absolute relaxation, at its best.
