Pink Sunset Over St Paul’s

In London, you’re spoiled for choice of places to watch sunsets. I have a great, and free, spot by St Paul’s for you today.

On Sunday we zoomed up a glass lift and discovered a public rooftop terrace at One New Change with panoramic views over many of London’s famous landmarks. The terrace overlooks St Paul’s Cathedral and offers views across London skyline. Depending on where you stand, you can see the London Eye, The Shard and all the way across The City.

There is also a restaurant here: Madison’s Restaurant and Bar with a lively atmosphere and great cocktails. Be sure to book if you’re visiting the restaurant.

If there’s a queue outside the lifts, it’s for the Madison Restaurant and you can skip it by using the lift on the right-hand side.

What a perfect spot for watching the sun sink over the rooftops of London and colouring the sky in soft shades of pink.

All you need is some sunshine! The best things in life are free.

PS. This spot is still somewhat unknown to tourists, so no crowds 🙂

The views are amazing and I loved how empty the terrace was even such a warm and sunny Sunday evening.

Absolutely the perfect place to watch a sunset! I would love to go there. I always enjoy pink sunsets, they are rare, however in summer and spring, I see them more 🙂

Thank you Ree! It’s in the city and the weekends there tend to be rather quiet (since most of the businesses are shut) making it so nice to walk around.. feels almost like being in NY or some other, more modern city. Or maybe I’m just so use to the neighbourhood / village feeling of West London.
