Painted mini pumpkins with glittered stems

These decorative, painted mini pumpkins are covered in pastel colours and golden glitter to give a more chic decor spin to the popular spooky carvings.

Nämä koristeelliset mini kurpitsat käsitellään pastelli väreillä ja kultaisella glitterillä tehden niistä tyylikkään vaihtoehdon tavallisille kaiverretuille kurpitsoille.  Autumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziAutumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziAutumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziIf you’re not a fan of carving pumpkins this fun decorative project might be something more up your alley that is still in keeping with the fall season.

Jos et ole suoranainen kurpitsan kaivertamisen fani tämä projekti voi olla enemmän sinun juttusi syksyisten koristeiden joukossa. Autumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziThis Autumn craft project begins with few mini pumpkins that are painted up in a variety of shades of your choice. I got only three different acrylic paints; black, white and pink and mixed different shades of grey of them.

Tämä syksyinen askartelu projekti alkaa maalaamalla mini kurpitsat valitsimillasi väreillä. Minä valitsin akryyleista mustan, valkoisen ja vaaleanpunaisen ja sekoittelin eri harmaan sävyjä lisäksi. Super easy, glittery and fun.

Kun maali on kuivunut, kurpitsan varret sivellään liimalla ja upotetaan kultaiseen glitteriin. Super helppoa, kimaltelevaa ja hauskaa.Autumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziAutumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziAutumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziAutumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziAutumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziThey’re so lovely, aren’t they? If you decide to make these, please take a picture and post it on instagram and tag me (karoliinakazi) so I can see your pumpkins too 🙂 This would be a fun project for the whole family to do.

Kauniita, vai mitä? Jos sinäkin teet näitä maalattuja glitteri kurpitsoita, niin otathan kuvan ja lähetät minulle, vaikkapa instagrammiin tai sähköpostitse. Tämä on hauska koko perheen projekti myös lasten kanssa 🙂  Autumn craft project: Painted Glitter Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziAutumn craft project: Painted Mini Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziAutumn craft project: Painted Mini Pumpkins | Karoliina KaziCraft project enjoyed best with a cup of hot spiced apple cider. You can find a recipe for it here.

How do you like to decorate during this season?

Askartelu projekti onnistuu parhaiten kun nautit samalla kupillisen kuumaa, maustettua omenamehua, ja ehkä pienellä tujauksella rommia. Reseptin löydät täältä

Miten sinä tykkäät koristella tähän aikaan vuodesta?

Love, Karoliina x

What a fantastic idea! Your pumpkins are gorgeous and it is a much better way to decorate them than carving, less clearing up to do afterwards 😊. I especially love the glittered stem.

Now we’re talking! I’ve always thought the carved pumpkins are a little – well, passe. I love these. They’re fun and adult and still in the spirit of Halloween. Thanks for sharing these 🙂

Might have to to this to mine instead or the usual carving them. They look blade adorable! xo

Give it try, its so much easier 🙂 One year I also covered the whole pumpkin with orange glitter and that looked really cool as well. x

Oh my god this is way too cute, I wish they never rot and stay like that! I would do it with pineapples too!

These look so beautiful and cute! Totally prefer them over the carved ones. One (probably stupid) question: is it still possible to eat them afterwards? When carving you can kind of use the inside, but I’m wondering what happens if you leave these in your living room or garden for a while?

I don’t see why not if you open from top and carve out the pumpkin flesh.
