Barrafina, Covent Garden

Hi everyone! I have made some changes at my workplace, and from this week onwards my schedule will be slightly more relaxed. Now I can really invest time to my interior design studies, and spend more time with my favourite thing, my blog.

As usual, we are always looking for any reason to celebrate and this new beginning certainly served as one. Riz and I decided to head out for some proper tapas. And not just any tapas – Barrafina tapas. They are, hands down, the best I’ve ever had outside Spain. This tiny restaurant has been named Britain’s best restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards.

Moikka kaikille! Minun arjessani on tapahtunut uusia asioita näin heti syksyn alkuun.

We didn’t go the original Barrafina on Frith Street, but the radiant Adelaide Street restaurant.

Emme menneet alkuperäiseen Barrafinaan Frith Streetillä, vaan freesiin Adelaide Streetin ravintolaan.

There are no reservations, so get ready to queue up. Once in, the tapas are life-changing good.

There are 29 burgundy barstools along one sweeping marble counter so its a snug affair. You can watch the chefs at work and enjoy regional dishes from around Spain.

Ravintolassa 29 viininpunaista jakkaraa reunustaa pitkää marmorista baaria, joten ruokailu on melko tiivis tunnelmaltaan. Samalla voit seurata kokkeja töissään ja nauttia annoksia eri puolilta Espanjaa.

We waited less than 10 minutes and got seated so wasn’t too bad. And you can have a glass of wine or other drink while waiting 🙂
